Sri Lanka's golden coastline runs from the palm-fringed beaches of the south-west — Beruwala, Wadduwa, Bentota, Induruwa, Kosgoda, Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna and Weligama — round to the calm, shallow bays of the east coast at Pasikudah. It is a year-round beach destination, with tea country, ancient cities and wildlife safaris all a short drive inland.

Sri Lanka by the sea

Our Sri Lanka collection spans international names — Marriott, Sheraton, Radisson Blu, RIU, Avani, NH and Cinnamon — alongside design-led boutiques such as Uga Bay, Maalu Maalu, Sun Siyam Pasikudah, Temple Tree and the Geoffrey Bawa-designed Blue Water. Each is a beachfront or near-beach property selected for the leisure traveller.

Rates are arranged through our team. Talk to a Sri Lanka specialist for tailored quotes, group rates and multi-centre itineraries that pair the coast with the cultural triangle and the hill country.

When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka's beaches?

Sri Lanka has two monsoons, so there is always a coast in season. The south and west — Bentota, Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, Weligama — are at their best from December to April. The east coast at Pasikudah and Trincomalee runs the opposite calendar, May to September.

Can a Sri Lanka beach stay be combined with the cultural triangle?

Yes, and most of our itineraries do. Sigiriya, Dambulla and Kandy sit within a half-day drive of the west coast, and the hill-country tea estates around Nuwara Eliya pair naturally with a beach finish in the south.

How do I get rates for these hotels?

Rates are arranged directly through our team rather than published on the page. Send us your dates, party size and preferred coast and a specialist will come back with tailored options.
