Why go to Beruwala?
Beruwala is a useful coastal base when you want beach time soon after leaving Colombo. The neighbouring Bentota River adds another kind of outing, but a Beruwala stay should be shown as Beruwala rather than folded into a Bentota listing.
Sri Lanka Tourism describes Beruwala and Bentota together, but they are separate towns on either side of a wider resort coast. Beruwala's bay is the natural focus of a stay here. Our hotel cards use the exact recorded town, so a Beruwala property does not appear as a Bentota hotel just because the areas are close.
