A channel (kandu) on the northeast side of Vaavu (Felidhoo) Atoll, widely rated among the best dives in the Maldives. The channel mouth and corners feature caves, overhangs and small thilas from about 5 m down past 30 m, with prolific soft coral. On incoming current grey reef sharks, eagle rays, jacks, tuna and occasional hammerheads patrol, with the namesake caves rich in soft coral and reef fish. Strong current makes it an advanced drift dive; best in the northeast monsoon, roughly December to April.
