About Kuramathi Maldives
Kuramathi Maldives is a large private-island resort in Rasdhoo Atoll, reached by a 65-minute speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport. The island stretches around 1.8 kilometres and tapers into a natural sandbank at its tip, with 354 villas split across garden, beach, deluxe beach and overwater categories, including two-bedroom beach houses for families and pool villas at the premium end. Dining spans 12 restaurants and multiple bars, with signature venues including Kobe Teppanyaki and The Reef for seafood, and guests can choose between Bed & Breakfast, Half Board, Full Board and Select All-Inclusive meal plans, the last of which opens up à la carte restaurants. Rasdhoo Atoll delivers more than 20 dive sites within a short boat ride and the resort's on-site PADI and SSI dive school supports beginners through advanced divers. Snorkelling is possible directly from the house reef, with turtle and reef-shark encounters and seasonal hammerhead sightings at the nearby Madivaru channel. A full spa, extensive water-sports desk and dedicated kids' facilities give Kuramathi the scale to accommodate both families and couples without either crowding the other, which distinguishes it from smaller single-category islands in the Maldives.
