Tiger Zoo (Tiger Harbour) sits just outside the harbour entrance on the northeast coast of Fuvahmulah, a single oceanic island in the far south of the Maldives near the equator. It is a shallow horseshoe-shaped plateau at roughly 6-10 m that drops off steeply from about 12-15 m into open ocean. The site is famous for near-guaranteed, year-round tiger shark encounters, with more than 35 individuals identified, alongside other pelagics. Strong surge and open-ocean conditions make it an advanced dive.
