Maa Kandu is the northern ocean channel of Addu (Seenu) Atoll, roughly 0.9 km long and up to about 30 m deep, with sloping walls of fine sand and scattered coral blocks. A reef manta cleaning station sits inside the channel at 16-20 m, busiest on the morning incoming current, and the wider 'Shark Point' area holds aggregations of grey reef and whitetip reef sharks. It is a current-driven channel dive suited to experienced divers and lies within the Addu UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
