Shark Point lies on the north-eastern rim of Addu (Seenu) Atoll, on the ocean side of Hulhumeedhoo. The outer reef drops from about 5 m to a sandy plateau around 30 m wide at 30 m depth — the 'Shark Hotel' — where grey reef and whitetip reef sharks gather, while the wall beyond falls past 60 m. Currents can be strong and the depth makes it an advanced channel/wall dive. Sharks are present year-round.
