Gan Kandu is a channel dive at the southwestern corner of Addu (Seenu) Atoll, near the islands of Gan and Feydhoo. Profiles typically run from about 5 m on the inner reef down past 14 m into the channel, with current-driven drift diving when tidal flow is strong. The channel and adjacent thilas attract grey reef and whitetip sharks, eagle rays, turtles and schooling reef fish, and Addu is notable for year-round manta encounters. Addu's reefs largely escaped the 1998 bleaching, leaving relatively healthy hard coral.
