Protected Marine Area
Dhigali Haa (Horubadhoo Thila) is a protected thila in the eastern part of Baa Atoll, one of the earliest marine protected areas in the Maldives. The reef top sits at roughly 8 m and the sides drop steeply to around 30-35 m, with caves, overhangs and large sea fans. Common sightings include grey reef sharks, groupers, batfish, stingrays and schooling oriental sweetlips and snapper. Currents can be moderate to strong, making it better suited to experienced divers.
