Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort is a 5-star resort on the island of Fares in Baa Atoll, part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It has 176 rooms, villas, pavilions and residences in 13 categories, from 47 square metre premium rooms to three-bedroom over water pool residences of 368 square metres. Seaplane transfers from Malé take 35 to 40 minutes in daylight; guests arriving later fly to Dharavandhoo and finish with a 30-minute speedboat. Seven venues cover dining and drinks, among them Ocean Terrace, Charcoal, the resort's signature grill, Skipjack by the pool, Tribe, Smugglers Shack, Hammock and Petit Bistro for children, with private dining at Adrift on request. AvaniSpa has five private treatment villas, and the resort runs AvaniKids for children from two years, a Teens Club, diving, snorkelling and water sports.
