About Smugglers Shack
Smugglers Shack is the resort's beach bar on the southern shore, on the site of what the resort describes as an abandoned coconut plantation and former hideout for island smugglers. It is now given over to rum, with over 100 premium labels that the resort calls the largest collection of rum in the Maldives.
The bar sits in what the resort names the best snorkelling spot on the island, with views of the water. It serves tiki cocktails and island-style bites, and is pitched as a post-snorkel pick-me-up or a laid-back beach break. Both the bar and the light bites run from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, subject to weather and season.
