Nilandhoo Kandu is a channel on the eastern side of Huvadhoo (Gaafu) Atoll, dived as a fast drift along the channel walls and drop-offs. The strongest current concentrates at the channel mouth and drop-off, where grey reef, whitetip, blacktip, nurse and leopard sharks, barracuda, eagle rays and jacks gather; giant hammerheads are an occasional dawn sighting. Best conditions are typically January to April with water around 28-30 C.
