Protected thila (also called Girifushi Thila or Rainbow Reef) in North Male Atoll between Himmafushi and Girifushi. Average depth around 18 m to a maximum near 35 m, with overhangs and caves smothered in colourful soft corals. Strong current (often over 2 knots) attracts grey reef and whitetip sharks, eagle rays and dense fish schools; an advanced drift dive. Best on incoming current during the northeast monsoon (December to April).
