Lankan Manta Point lies off Lankanfinolhu (Paradise Island) on the eastern side of North Male Atoll, a gently sloping reef of about 5-15 m holding several coral outcrops that serve as manta cleaning stations. During the northeast monsoon (roughly May to November/December) reef manta rays gather here to be cleaned by wrasse, often in numbers, alongside reef fish and the occasional whale shark. Currents are usually mild to moderate, making it accessible to most certified divers.
