Ithaafushi - The Private Island is a standalone buy-out villa estate in South Malé Atoll, operated alongside Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi and reached by a roughly 30-minute speedboat transfer from Malé International Airport. Unlike a conventional resort, the property is rented as a single private island for one group at a time, accommodating up to 24 guests across three connected residences with a combined 11 bedrooms, multiple private pools, a dedicated spa pavilion, a gym and an overwater deck. A private team including a resident manager, a chef, butlers and a water-sports instructor is assigned for the duration of each stay, and the meal plan is built around bespoke menus prepared on demand rather than a set restaurant rotation. Guests retain access to the wider Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi resort next door, including its 11 restaurants and two bars, spa and kids club.
