Vakkaru Maldives, the award-winning private island resort set within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of the Baa Atoll, has revealed the launch of a new villa category: the Overwater Villa with Pool.
Vakkaru Maldives has introduced a new Overwater Villa with Pool category, with reservations now open for stays beginning October 22, 2026. These accommodations span 165 square meters and feature a 23-square-meter private pool, providing guests with direct lagoon access and expansive ocean views. Located within the resort’s existing overwater collection, these units are specifically identified as villas 211 through 245. Situated in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this private island retreat is known for its refined collection of beachfront and overwater villas alongside extensive culinary and wellness facilities.
Concurrent with this launch, the resort is rebranding its existing Overwater Pool Villa category to Overwater Deluxe Pool Villa to better distinguish its inventory. This adjustment is strictly a nomenclature change, with no impact on current villa features or pricing. Nightly rates for the new category start at US$1,650 during the low season, scaling up to US$4,500 for the festive period.
