The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort will host Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador Thomas Ling this October for a two-day residency focused on the artistry of sake. Situated on a private island in the Dhaalu Atoll, the resort offers an ultra-luxury setting for this cultural exploration. Ling, a recognized authority with over two decades of experience in promoting Japan’s national beverages, will lead guests through a series of specialized events designed to highlight traditional craftsmanship and regional brewing techniques.
The program commences on 5 October with a complimentary sake masterclass at the resort’s T•Pan restaurant, limited to 12 participants. The following evening, the focus shifts to Orientale, where Ling will oversee a four-course dinner featuring curated sake pairings. This collaboration is the latest installment of the resort’s Tastemaker Series, an initiative that invites global experts to share their skills with guests in an intimate, high-end environment.
