The Nautilus Maldives will host its annual Ocean Discovery Week from August 2 to 8, 2026, featuring acclaimed underwater photographer Tobias Friedrich and his family. Nestled within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the ultra-luxury resort offers a secluded setting for guests to engage with the marine environment through a series of guided, unscripted experiences.
Friedrich, a frequent jury member for the Underwater Photographer of the Year, will lead workshops on composition and visual storytelling. He will be joined by his wife, PADI AmbassaDiver Isidora, and their two sons, who will facilitate educational sessions and youth-focused marine activities. The program includes excursions to Hanifaru Bay for manta ray sightings, night dives, and coral planting initiatives. Throughout the week, a dedicated gallery at the resort will display Friedrich’s photography, with a portion of the proceeds from sales supporting local marine conservation efforts.
