The Maldives will host the inaugural World Creator Summit and World Creator Awards from 20 to 25 September 2026. Powered by the Creatoll platform, this invitation-only event aims to establish the archipelago as a central hub for the global creator economy. The programme, developed by Visit Maldives in partnership with the World Travel Awards, will convene approximately 50 international participants to explore the future of destination storytelling. Attendees will engage in high-level forums and curated experiences that highlight themes such as luxury, sustainability, and cultural impact within the tourism sector.

This initiative seeks to leverage the influence of digital creators to enhance destination marketing through authentic, long-term storytelling. As the Maldives prepares to welcome global talent to its diverse private islands—such as Maafushi in the Dhaalu Atoll—the summit will serve as a platform for fostering partnerships between creators, brands, and tourism stakeholders. By recognizing excellence in digital craft, the event reinforces the nation’s status as a premier, aspirational travel destination.

Hotel Riu Atoll is located on the heavenly private island of Maafushi in Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives, offering the best 24-hour all-inclusive service for an exclusive island holiday. The hotel features more than 250 rooms with all the best comforts including minibar, air conditioning, safe box and satellite TV. It has several room types: island villas and overwater junior suites for guests who want luxury in every detail. Hotel Riu Atoll provides a pool with swim-up bar with impressive sea views and a children's pool. The main restaurant serves buffet meals with live cooking stations and the Italian and steakhouse restaurants offer à la carte dining. Guests can also enjoy Lounge Bar and Sports Bar open 24 hours. The resort features a spa with an extensive treatments menu, watersports including kayaking, paddle surfing and diving, entertainment programmes with shows and live music, and the RiuLand kids' club. Connected by a walkway to the sister resort Riu Palace Maldivas on neighbouring Kedhigandu island.
