Angsana Velavaru celebrates 20 years of island hospitality and honours 48 associates at annual long service awards.

Angsana Velavaru, located in the secluded South Nilandhe Atoll, recently commemorated two decades of operation by hosting its annual Long Service Awards. The milestone event celebrated the resort’s history of providing island-based hospitality while formally recognizing the contributions of 48 staff members who have remained with the Banyan Group throughout their careers.

The ceremony, attended by senior Banyan Group leadership, honored employees for tenures ranging from five to thirty years. This recognition highlighted the commitment of the resort’s workforce, whose service has been central to the property’s development since its inception. Set against the backdrop of the resort’s private lagoon, the evening served as both a tribute to the staff’s professional growth and a reflection on the collective efforts that have defined the destination’s reputation over the past twenty years.
