Eri Maldives, in the North Male Atoll, has placed marine conservation at the centre of its guest experience this summer with a calendar of ocean-focused programming running from 1 June to mid-July. The schedule is built around international awareness days, each pairing guided exploration with education.
Highlights include the Reef Guardians snorkelling safaris on Reef Awareness Day (1 June), guided excursions for World Oceans Day (8 June), a Turtle Search Snorkel on World Sea Turtle Day (16 June), and a 'Beyond the Myth' shark programme on Shark Awareness Day (14 July). The series closes with a women-only free-dive introduction for PADI Women's Dive Day from 18 July.
The resort is also home to 14 individually identified resident sea turtles monitored by its dive team, among them a recently recorded green turtle named Otto. Guests who spot an undocumented turtle are invited to help name it.
