Coco Collection has strengthened its commitment to environmental stewardship across its two Maldivian properties, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu and Coco Bodu Hithi. Both resorts integrate the brand’s Coco Cares philosophy into daily operations, prioritizing waste reduction, mindful resource management, and the use of locally cultivated ingredients. As a Maldivian-owned brand, the collection emphasizes a deep connection to the local ecosystem, ensuring that sustainability remains a central component of the guest experience.
At Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, conservation efforts are centered on the Marine Turtle Rescue Centre, a facility operated alongside the Olive Ridley Project that has successfully rehabilitated over 150 turtles. The resort also maintains a dedicated farm to supply fresh produce for its dining outlets. Meanwhile, Coco Bodu Hithi has introduced a sustainable cocktail program that utilizes garden-grown ingredients to minimize waste. These initiatives reflect a broader effort to balance luxury hospitality with the preservation of the surrounding marine and island environments.
