Alila Kothaifaru Maldives has appointed Chootima Losakul, known as Joy, as its new Spa Manager to oversee the evolution of the resort’s wellness programming. Drawing on two decades of international experience, Joy is implementing a philosophy that emphasizes stillness and intentional movement, integrating traditional healing techniques with contemporary practices. Situated in the Raa Atoll, the resort provides an open-air backdrop where nature serves as a central component of the guest experience.
The updated wellness schedule now features a variety of complimentary daily activities, including sunrise yoga, Tai Chi, and guided island walks. Beyond movement, the spa has introduced creative mindfulness sessions such as Mandala meditation ink drawing. These offerings are complemented by a rotating monthly ritual, currently highlighted by the Alila De-Stress Package, which focuses on relieving travel fatigue. This programmatic expansion builds upon the spa’s recent recognition at the 2024 SpaChina Wellness and Spa Awards for its commitment to sustainable, locally inspired treatments.
