Nova Maldives will host Project AWARE Week from September 16 to 20, 2026, in collaboration with PADI. This initiative invites guests of all skill levels to participate in marine conservation efforts, aligning with the global dive organization’s 60th anniversary and the resort’s fourth year of operations in the South Ari Atoll. The program focuses on citizen science, encouraging visitors to engage directly with the marine environment through educational workshops and hands-on activities.

The week’s itinerary features underwater clean-up dives, coral restoration workshops, and guided excursions to observe whale sharks, manta rays, and sea turtles in their natural habitats. These efforts build upon the resort’s established conservation work, which includes an active coral nursery and long-term partnerships with organizations like the Manta Trust. By integrating wildlife observation with environmental stewardship, the event aims to foster a deeper connection between guests and the fragile ecosystem of the Maldives.
