Angsana Velavaru has officially reopened its futsal ground, a 57-by-38-metre facility designed to bolster both guest recreation and staff wellbeing. The inauguration ceremony was led by Dhaalu Atoll Council President Ahmed Shafiu and General Manager Ahmed Zahir. Located within the pristine South Nilandhe Atoll, the resort offers an expansive private lagoon and a mix of beachfront and overwater villa accommodations.
The upgraded pitch is intended to serve as a hub for skill-building workshops and collaborative sporting events. During the launch, the resort hosted a series of friendly matches involving staff teams and representatives from the Banyan Group. This development coincides with the renovation of the adjacent watersports centre, which now includes improved changing and shower facilities to accommodate those transitioning between land-based activities and the beach. By prioritizing these recreational enhancements, the property aims to foster a stronger sense of community and active living for all visitors and employees.
