Think summer in the Maldives is all about sipping cocktails and doing absolutely nothing? Guests certainly can. But at Siyam World Maldives, they can also swim with sharks, race electric go-karts,...
Siyam World in the Noonu Atoll is shifting the focus of the traditional Maldivian getaway this summer by emphasizing high-energy activities over static relaxation. The sprawling 5-star resort, which spans a vast private island, has introduced a variety of unique experiences, including diving at a 66-metre shipwreck, navigating an expansive floating water park, and racing on an electric go-kart track. Guests can also participate in niche pursuits such as professional football camps led by former Premier League stars, mermaid certification courses, and horse riding on the property’s dedicated ranch.
Beyond active pursuits, the resort offers structured challenges like the Shipwrecked golf competition, which utilizes biodegradable fish-food balls. Evenings provide a contrast to the daytime adrenaline, with underground fine dining at Barrique. To incentivize summer travel, the property is currently offering rate discounts of up to 45 percent, alongside perks such as complimentary seaplane transfers and resort credits for qualifying stays.
