The resort
A resort on the East Crescent of Palm Jumeirah with 312 rooms and suites, laid out in a palatial style and finished in a beach palette of ivory, sand and soft turquoise with contemporary European furnishings. Views take in either the Palm crescent and the Arabian Gulf or the Dubai skyline across the water. The Pearl Club on the fifth floor is the resort's club lounge, named for the UAE's pearl-diving history and attached to five accommodation categories. The Waldorf Astoria Spa runs to more than 3,200 square metres of indoor space with 12 treatment rooms, two private couples' suites, hydrotherapy and thermal relaxation rooms, experience showers, whirlpools, steam rooms, saunas and herbal steam rooms. There is a private beach, outdoor pools, a tennis court, a fitness centre, a kids' club with childcare and a playground, and a grand ballroom. Seven restaurants and bars operate on site. Pets are not allowed.
