The resort
The original Atlantis resort on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah, opened in 2008 on the outer crescent and built as two wings joined by the arch of the Royal Bridge Suite. It is a resort and marine attraction in one: the Ambassador Lagoon and Lost World Aquarium hold some 65,000 marine animals, guests get unlimited access to the Aquaventure World waterpark with more than 105 slides, rides and attractions, and one signature suite is set below the waterline with windows onto the aquarium itself. Accommodation spans 15 categories, starting at 45 sqm deluxe rooms and reaching the 429 sqm Grand Atlantis Suite, with an Imperial Club tier that adds a private lounge. There is a private beach, family and adult pools, a kids' club and a large dining collection including several chef-led restaurants. Operated by Kerzner International, and separate from the newer Atlantis The Royal nearby.
