The resort
VARU by Atmosphere is a five-star all-inclusive resort on Madivaru in North Malé Atoll, reached by a complimentary 40-minute speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport. The island holds 111 villas in seven categories — 42 on the beach and 69 over the water along three jetties — and every stay runs on the VARU Plan™, the resort's premium all-inclusive holiday plan covering dining, premium beverages, a daily replenished minibar, snorkelling excursions and a choice of experiences. Dining spans Lime & Chili for all-day international buffets and theme nights, the overwater NÜ for Mediterranean seafood, Kaagé for progressive Maldivian cuisine, Charcoal for grills by the beach and Teppanyaki Over Water, with Bay Rouge as the main pool bar and Cellar at NÜ for wine. There is no house reef: complimentary snorkelling shuttles run to two nearby reef sites each morning and afternoon, with equipment provided. ELE|NA Ayur spa and wellness, a dive and watersports centre, a gym, a floodlit tennis court and the On The Move kids' club complete the island.
