The Standard, Maldives occupies the private island of Huruvalhi in Raa Atoll, in the northern reaches of the archipelago, reached from Velana International Airport by a seaplane flight of around 35 to 40 minutes. The resort comprises 115 villas arranged between beachfront and overwater categories, with every villa including a private deck and a plunge pool. The overwater inventory is split between Lagoon Overwater Pool Villas on the inner reef flat and Ocean Overwater Pool Villas positioned on the outer edge, while beachfront categories provide direct sand access and proximity to the island's interior landscaping. A 110-square-metre Lagoon Overwater Pool Villa configuration includes a king bed, daybed, and direct water access from the deck. Dining across the property includes the all-day restaurant Kula, the beachside grill BBQ Shak, and the overwater Maldivian-focused Guduguda, supplemented by bar outlets and in-villa dining. Public areas include the resort's spa with treatment programmes that extend into yoga and alternative therapies, an overwater nightclub with a glass floor, and dive and watersports facilities that access the surrounding house reef. The Raa Atoll setting situates the island within one of the Maldives' less-developed northern regions, with manta ray and reef diving available seasonally in surrounding sites.
