The Standard, Maldives will host a candy-themed celebration titled The Festive Isle from December 20, 2026, to January 7, 2027. Located on Huruvalhi Island in the Raa Atoll, the resort will transform into a vibrant, confectionery-inspired retreat featuring a diverse schedule of culinary events, interactive workshops, and live entertainment. The program begins with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and continues with signature gatherings, including pool parties and beachfront celebrations.
Christmas Eve activities include sunset cocktails and themed dining options ranging from traditional Maldivian cuisine at Guduguda to open-flame cooking at BBQ Shak. On Christmas Day, guests can participate in a beachside arrival for Santa Claus followed by a holiday brunch and evening performances featuring traditional Boduberu drumming. Throughout the two-week period, the resort will offer a variety of specialized dining experiences highlighting premium seafood, wine pairings, and local ingredients, blending festive traditions with the island's unique social atmosphere.
