The resort
Lily Beach Resort and Spa sits on Huvahendhoo Island in South Ari Atoll, reached by a 25-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport operated through Trans Maldivian Airways. The resort runs a Platinum All-Inclusive plan (Half Board is available on some categories) that is among the most comprehensive in the country: it covers meals across four restaurants, more than 80 premium wines and Taittinger Champagne by the glass, a European cheese selection, a replenished in-villa minibar, non-motorised water sports, snorkeling equipment, sunrise yoga, the Turtle Kids' Club and three complimentary excursions. Dining venues include the Lily Maa buffet, the à la carte AQVA and Vibes outlets, and the Tamarind specialty restaurant. South Ari's location gives direct access to a reef system known for regular whale shark sightings year-round and manta ray aggregations in season, both accessible on house excursions. The property also includes an overwater spa and a dive centre with unlimited-diving packages for qualified guests. With 125 villas across beach and overwater categories and a family-friendly structure that still suits honeymooners, Lily Beach is defined by the breadth of its inclusive plan and its position on one of the Maldives' busiest marine-life corridors.

Perched on the sunset side of Lily Beach, AQVA Bar is the resort's adults-only retreat centred on a stunning infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean. Comfortable loungers, shade canopies and an à la carte snack menu make it the definitive spot to watch the Maldivian sunset, continuing well after dark with cocktails, coffee and evening dining.
Lily Beach's overwater fine-dining restaurant, Tamarind suspends guests above the Maldivian lagoon beneath a striking chandelier and golden-garland décor. The menu journeys through Thai and Indian cuisine — rich curries, fragrant spices and fresh seafood — paired with wines from international cellars. Limited seating makes advance reservations essential for this intimate, couples-focused venue.
Each evening, Lily Beach's AQVA Bar transforms into a theatre of gastronomy as teppanyaki chefs take centre stage around the sizzling iron griddle. Guests gather in small groups to watch dramatic flipping, tossing and juggling while premium ingredients — including fresh lobster and Wagyu beef — are cooked to order. A theatrical dining ritual that turns dinner into a performance.
The beating heart of dining at Lily Beach, Lily Maa is a sand-floor beachfront restaurant with a different world-cuisine theme each night of the week — from Maldivian Night and Seafood Extravaganza to Mediterranean and Asian Street Food. Home to a live lobster tank, it pairs its rotating buffet with an exclusive selection of premium wines, with à la carte available for dietary needs.
Vibes Bar is the resort's lively poolside hub, built around a large deck with two swimming pools, a floor fountain feature and an indoor games room with billiard tables and table tennis. By day it serves light bites and refreshments for families and active guests; by night it becomes the entertainment centre with a live band or DJ performing twice weekly, plus a full cocktail list and shisha.
Lily Beach's private dining experience invites guests to dine beneath dhoni-sail shade canopies on the beach, evoking the graceful handcrafted fishing boats of the Maldives. Menus are prepared to personal preference under the supervision of the resort's Executive Chef, making each sunset or moonlit dinner a bespoke occasion tailored entirely to the guest.
The Spirit Bar is Lily Beach's signature beach bar, where barefoot guests sink into coral sand beneath a multicoloured bar hung with shells. The indoor lounge and open-air terrace both frame views of the turquoise Indian Ocean. House cocktails — including the signature Turquoise Experience — share the menu with shisha and espresso, making it equally suited to morning coffee or a moonlit nightcap.
