The resort
A marina-front hotel on King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Street in Abu Dhabi, with its own private beach and 19 floors of rooms looking either over the Arabian Gulf or across landscaped gardens. The Bayshore is the hotel's private beach club, with beach beds and cabanas, an outdoor infinity pool and hot tub, a children's splash pool with slides, and a fitness gym with a cold plunge. Club InterContinental occupies the 18th floor, serving breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails with a private meeting room attached. Dining is unusually deep for a city hotel: Marina Walk is a waterfront promenade of signature restaurants with outdoor terraces, alongside a third-floor buffet and a lobby piano lounge. The hotel is single-use plastic-free and runs a children's activity programme.
