About COMO Shambhala Estate

A wellness retreat occupying a private 22-acre sanctuary of riverine forest above the Ayung River, roughly twenty minutes from Ubud and ninety minutes from Denpasar airport. Architect Cheong Yew Kuan worked with interior designer Koichiro Ikebuchi to build it from local stone, timber and traditional alang-alang thatch. Guests are housed in terrace suites, multi-suite residences and one- to three-bedroom pool villas, and follow bespoke wellness programmes supported by a wellness centre, vitality pool, steam rooms, sauna and the nutrition-led COMO Shambhala Cuisine.
