Cocogiri Island Resort Maldives is a boutique private-island property in Vaavu (Felidhoo) Atoll, reached by roughly a 75-minute speedboat or a 20-minute seaplane from Velana International Airport. The resort has 40 villas in total, evenly split between 20 Water Villas perched above the lagoon and 20 Beach Villas directly fronting the sand. Water Villa categories include Standard Jacuzzi Water Villas with a 3.5 square-metre private jacuzzi on the deck and Pool Jacuzzi Water Villas with a 9-metre private pool, both featuring indoor and outdoor showers, king beds, Maldivian-influenced interiors, 42-inch satellite televisions and air conditioning. Dining is centralised at a single restaurant with meal plans from Bed & Breakfast through All Inclusive. Vaavu Atoll is one of the more productive diving regions in the archipelago, with channels known for reef sharks, manta rays and whale sharks, all accessed via the on-site Meridis-operated PADI dive centre. The house reef, reached directly from the beach, is populated with tropical fish and coral and is suited to guided snorkelling. Excursions include island hopping and shark snorkelling. With only 40 keys, Cocogiri suits couples and divers wanting a low-density stay with strong in-atoll marine life.
