The resort
Bab Al Nojoum Bateen Liwa is a desert resort set high among the dunes of the Liwa Oasis in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra region, on the northern edge of the Empty Quarter. Accommodation is entirely in standalone one-, two- and three-bedroom villas plus a larger Royal Villa, each with a private plunge pool, deck loungers, a firepit and a patio facing unobstructed dune and sunset views, and each built with an emphasis on environmental sustainability. The resort positions itself for families and groups wanting more than a conventional weekend break, with an infinity pool at its centre and access by air, road, camel or on foot. Guests can also reserve a private piazza rather than use the shared spaces.
