The resort
Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort is a 30-villa retreat set inside the protected wilderness of Sir Bani Yas Island, off the coast of Abu Dhabi and reached by boat or air from the mainland. Every villa is standalone, has its own pool and opens directly onto open savannah, where Arabian oryx, gazelle and other free-roaming wildlife move across the landscape. The architecture is deliberately restrained so that open land and horizon define the space. On site there is a main pool and a boutique fitness studio with Technogym equipment; the fuller gym, Anantara Spa and kids' club sit a short complimentary shuttle away at Desert Islands Resort & Spa. Island-wide facilities shared between the three Sir Bani Yas resorts include an archery range, stables, a water sports centre and a tennis court.
