The resort
Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort occupies roughly 400 metres of private shoreline on the eastern crescent of Palm Jumeirah, looking out across the Arabian Gulf to the Dubai skyline. Thai-influenced architecture is arranged around three swimming lagoons that guests can enter directly from ground-floor rooms, and the resort holds the first over-water villas built in the UAE. Accommodation spans lagoon-view and lagoon-access rooms, an adults-only Lotus category with its own lagoon and benefits, beach pool villas and over-water villas, alongside a separate residences building of one- and two-bedroom apartments with full kitchens. Facilities include Anantara Spa with separate men's and women's hammams, a Technogym fitness centre, the Tuk-Tuk Kids' Club, padel and tennis courts, a water sports centre and three wedding and event venues.

An airy waterfront restaurant serving Mediterranean cooking through the day, from breakfast beside the water to al fresco lunches of wood-fired pizza and calamari. The terrace is set up for sundowners over the Gulf, and shisha is served into the evening. Closed on Mondays.
The resort's all-day international restaurant, opening with an extensive buffet breakfast built around live cooking stations. A relaxed Saturday brunch is a fixture with Dubai diners, and evenings run themed specialities. There is a terrace under open sky and a dedicated kids' room.
The resort's signature restaurant, following the course of the Mekong river through the cooking of China, Vietnam and Thailand. Signature dishes are reworked with traditional techniques, and the dining room takes its artwork and colour palette from each country along the route.
A steakhouse working through a hand-selected range of Japanese, Australian, Argentinian, Canadian and US beef, matured in-house and grilled to order with classic sides and sauces. A wine cellar supports the menu, and the bar operates alongside the dining room.
An all-day cafe with indoor and outdoor seating looking across Jumeirah, serving brewed coffee, breakfast, pastries and smoothies through to an evening menu. The kitchen covers light fare and fuller plates, making it the resort's casual daytime option.
A lounge on the resort's upper level, serving afternoon tea on the terrace and cocktails as the sun sets over Palm Jumeirah. Ambient music shifts the mood after dark while the mixologists work the bar, and a global cigar menu is available to connoisseurs.
A swim-up poolside bar serving cocktails, juices and light food directly to sun loungers through the day. The menu runs to platters, burgers and salads, and the bar stays open for sundowners as the light changes across the sand.
