Fish Head (Mushimasmingili Thila) is a protected pinnacle in North Ari Atoll, an oval thila roughly 80-100 m long with its top at about 10 m and sides dropping steeply to over 40 m, riddled with overhangs and caves. It is famous for resident grey reef sharks that circle divers, along with dense schools of fusiliers, snapper and jacks, plus Napoleon wrasse and abundant soft coral. Strong currents are common and the site is regarded as an advanced dive; it is one of the Maldives' best-known dive sites and an early Marine Protected Area.
