Sun Siyam Olhuveli observed International Labour Day on May 1 by conducting a leadership gemba walk, an initiative designed to foster a deeper connection between management and frontline staff. Located in the South Malé Atoll, the resort is known for its expansive island layout and diverse service offerings. By stepping away from administrative duties, the leadership team spent the day working alongside employees in various departments, including the kitchen, housekeeping, security, and bar operations.
General Manager Hassan Adil and his senior colleagues took on active roles, such as preparing culinary dishes and managing service stations, to gain firsthand experience of the daily challenges faced by their team. These interactions served as an opportunity for open dialogue regarding operational workflows and internal support systems. By prioritizing direct engagement, the resort aims to strengthen professional trust and reinforce a workplace culture that values the contributions of every staff member in delivering high-quality hospitality.
