Sun Siyam Iru Veli has inaugurated a coral propagation project to coincide with its recent Ocean Week festivities. Following the formal renewal of its reef restoration license, the resort has established specific zones within its lagoon where guests can participate in planting efforts. This initiative, part of the broader Sun Siyam Cares sustainability framework, allows visitors to assist in habitat creation and monitor the development of these marine colonies alongside the property’s professional diving team.

The week-long series of events also featured educational sessions on local biodiversity and collaborative clean-up operations to remove debris from the surrounding waters. By integrating these conservation activities into the guest experience, the island aims to foster a deeper understanding of the vital importance of reef health within the Maldivian archipelago.
