Six Senses Laamu has debuted 17 new overwater villas, signaling the start of a comprehensive multi-year renovation for the remote Laamu Atoll property. These additions introduce four distinct accommodation categories, including the resort’s first dedicated family-oriented villas. Designed to emphasize natural light and coastal aesthetics, the interiors feature organic materials and turtle-shell motifs that honor the local marine environment. Each unit is equipped with a private 18-square-meter pool, an overwater hammock, and an elevated viewing deck.
The project aims to modernize guest accommodations while maintaining the serene, barefoot atmosphere that defines this ultra-luxury island retreat. Beyond the structural updates, the villas prioritize indoor-outdoor living through floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive terrace spaces. These new options will be available for guest bookings beginning December 6, 2026, with entry-level pricing starting at $2,185 per night. This launch serves as the initial phase of a broader plan to refresh the resort’s shared spaces and villas in the coming seasons.
