Young travelers visiting the Maldives now have a dedicated resource to engage with the archipelago’s unique environment through a new two-volume activity book series. Titled Your Maldives Holiday Adventure, the collection is tailored for children between the ages of four and eight, offering a blend of coloring pages and educational facts. The first installment highlights the region’s diverse marine life, including coral reefs and sea turtles, while the second volume explores local culture and island sustainability.
Authored by former Maldives tourism professional Sharon Garrett and published by Storyteller Press, the books provide a practical pastime for families during downtime or inclement weather. Each volume features 25 illustrations alongside accessible activities designed to introduce young readers to island life. The series is currently available for international purchase through Amazon’s print-on-demand service, which minimizes environmental impact by eliminating excess inventory. Garrett plans to expand this concept to other global destinations in the coming years.
