InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has announced its 2026-27 festive calendar, titled 12 Pearls of the Ocean. Running from 20 December 2026 through 7 January 2027, the programme organizes celebrations into twelve distinct daily themes, ranging from culinary events and champagne cruises to family-focused activities like pirate-themed excursions and kite festivals. Situated in the Raa Atoll, the resort provides a secluded island backdrop for these festivities, which include a residency by scientific illustrator Janavi Kramer and wellness sessions with practitioner Braj Raj Singh.
The series culminates on New Year’s Eve with a gala dinner and a headline performance by British pop artist Pixie Lott. This grand finale, known as The Pearl Ascension, will feature an oceanfront cocktail reception followed by a midnight display of fireworks and drones. Throughout the twelve-day period, guests can also engage with the resort’s marine conservation efforts, including manta ray excursions and coral adoption programs within the surrounding lagoon.
