One&Only Le Saint Geran occupies a private peninsula at Belle Mare on the east coast of Mauritius, spread across roughly 60 acres of gardens between the open Indian Ocean and a sheltered lagoon. It opened in 1975 as one of the island's first luxury resorts and is still built around a single long white-sand beach. Accommodation totals about 143 rooms and suites plus the standalone Villa One with its own pool, most opening directly onto sand or garden. Restaurants include Tapasake, Prime, Riva and Le Badamier, and the resort runs a spa, a kids' club, golf and a watersports centre from its own boathouse.
