Constance Prince Maurice occupies a sheltered 60-hectare estate at Poste de Flacq on the north-east coast of Mauritius, screened from the prevailing winds and named after Prince Maurice van Nassau of the Dutch spice trade. Accommodation is entirely suites and villas, among them villas raised on stilts above a natural fish reserve, and the grounds run from the lagoon back through mangrove and tropical planting. Le Barachois, a restaurant built on pontoons over the reserve, sits alongside a wine cellar of some 25,000 bottles, and guests share golf access with the neighbouring Constance Belle Mare Plage.
