About Dar Tantora The House Hotel
Dar Tantora The House Hotel occupies 30 restored mudbrick houses, or Dars, in the labyrinth of AlUla's Old Town, brought back by local artisans using inherited building techniques. There is no air conditioning: fans work with the mud-brick walls' natural cross-ventilation, candlelight and oil lamps cut energy use, and handmade clay jars keep water cool. Every Dar has a record player and vinyl, antique-style fittings and an arrival ceremony of dates, Arabic coffee and chosen incense. A rooftop infinity pool, a yoga and meditation area and a Michelin-starred kitchen sit alongside.
