Sun Siyam has been honored with two accolades at the International Property Awards Asia Pacific for architectural and design excellence. The hospitality group, which manages properties across the Maldives and Sri Lanka, received recognition for the Deluxe Water Villa interiors at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi and the overall hotel interiors at Sun Siyam Pasikudah. These awards, presented in Bangkok, are determined by a panel of over 80 independent industry experts.
Both projects were executed in collaboration with the London-based design firm Studio Sixty7. The design philosophy behind these transformations centers on integrating luxury with the specific natural surroundings of each location, utilizing organic textures and muted palettes to reflect the coastal environments. Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, a flagship property situated in the Noonu Atoll, serves as a primary example of this approach, where the recent villa renovations prioritize a serene, sensorial experience that connects guests directly to the surrounding lagoon.
