Centara Hotels & Resorts is marking the Thai New Year this April by introducing a series of Songkran-inspired festivities across its Maldivian properties. Drawing on the brand’s deep-rooted Thai heritage, the resorts will integrate traditional customs of renewal and togetherness into the tropical island landscape. These celebrations aim to blend cultural authenticity with the serene environment of the Maldives, offering guests a variety of experiences ranging from family-oriented activities to sophisticated adult-only gatherings.
At Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives, located in the North Malé Atoll, guests can expect a lively atmosphere featuring beachfront games and a poolside carnival, followed by authentic Thai dining. Meanwhile, Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa will host traditional parades and cultural performances, while Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa focuses on a more refined, spirited celebration. Each island location has curated its own schedule of events to ensure that the spirit of the festival is reflected through local traditions, culinary offerings, and communal activities throughout the month.
