Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Maldives earned three honors at the 2026 South Asian Travel Awards, held in Malé on October 8. Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives secured the Gold award for Leading Surf Resort, marking its eighth win in this category and fourth consecutive victory. This property, situated in the North Malé Atoll, is widely recognized for its proximity to the iconic Pasta Point surf break.

Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives also performed strongly, retaining the Gold title for Leading Beach Resort for the second year in a row. Additionally, the resort received a Silver award in the Nishan Seneviratne Best CSR Programme category. This recognition highlights the property’s collaborative initiative with a local dive center, which provided PADI Open Water certification and marine conservation training to nine students from nearby island communities. These awards underscore the brand's ongoing commitment to balancing high-quality guest experiences with meaningful community engagement and environmental stewardship.
